E-coli Scare
Has anyone heard about an ecoli scare in the lake? My daughter was at Ellacoya yesterday and her group wasn't allowed to swim because of it.

Here's a scary thought...
What if the State tested Braun Bay, West Alton, and a few other shallow sand bar areas? One has to wonder how that would turn out, especially if tested on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

It wouldn't turn out good... Any place where crowds of "people" swim, bacteria will be present. The geese are innocent in this case!

You can volunteer to send in water samples. Just give them a call!

I think I'll pass...
Quote:
I don't do Braun Bay. And I do West Alton as little as possible. Once in a great while during the week, first thing in the morning to wipe down the outside of the boat.

I don't think you'd see much e-coli in those places unless people are now doing number 2 also.
