No black markers by Ames Farm????
Went by Ames twice today and neither of us saw the two black markers that have always been there in the past. ????????

Also this past Monday...
We were heading toward West Alton from the Gilford area and looked for them as I went by...

They are there, saw them yesterday. The two markers are south of Ames Farm, sort of between Ames and the north end of Rattlesnake.

If you are talking about the two out in the middle of the cove where the old naval station was, they were there yesterday. Drove right by them.

I don't believe there are any rocks between those markers. I think its marked for water depth which is around 6 ft.

These two markers have some sort of Kilngon-esque cloaking device. We are ALWAYS around Ames and it takes forever to locate these two buoys...now it's just a running joke to see who can spot them first, even though we all know exactly where they are supposed to be. Shoot, even when I go out fishing in the morning in the kayak I have trouble paddling to them...

I never understood why it's a pair of black markers there, one would think there should be a red and black since the hazard is between them.
