Ice Out 2001
What were the unique conditions that created a May 2nd Ice Out in 2001? Anyone remember?

Most of the lake was ice free in late April that year but Wolfeboro Bay remained blocked until May 2nd. Since the Mount couldn't reach Wolfeboro official Ice-Out could not be called, even though there were already many boats in the lake.

May 2 iceout
That winter was cold and thick ice was able to form. I only visited a few weekends, but one memory sticks with me - being up there in the last weekend in April on a 75-degree day and seeing the lake still iced over!
