O's in Laconia is great. I have been there a few times now and never disappointed.

Can't go wrong at the Lyons Den in Gilford also.

It seems like the Cider Press has fallen off the radar. . . are they still open? Very good food and a relaxed atmosphere if I recall.

Default Corner House Inn?

If they are open on Christmas Eve, The Corner House Inn in Center Sandwich ought to be perfect. Cozy wood-burning fireplaces, great food...if we didn't have other plans, we'd go there. You'll find contact info at:

NoBozo All Chinese restaurants are open every Christmas Eve. That's where we go for a late night Christmas Eve meal.

That was always a family tradition for me growing up (take out only). I think that sounds good this year.

Default I Agree With beaner...

...Corner House Inn would've been my first choice but it completely slipped my mind.

It is THE quintessential New England dining experience.

Default Thanks

Thanks for all of the suggestions.

This is what I have found out for those who might be looking as well,

The Corner Inn is closed (was going to be our first choose)
The Woodshed is open (the food has been hit or miss lately)
The Comman Man in Ashland is closed
Micky D's is open but no fireplace
Mount Washington Hotel is open and a good option
Fartello's is open but not much atmosphere
Coe House did not answer.

We are still ing for options

I think it was mentioned, but not on your list...The Inn at Mill Falls (Lakehouse/Church landing in particular) is very nice.

Default Gunstock Inn

We just bought tickets to the Inn's Christmas party on Dec. 11th at 1pm
Huge buffet and mr and mrs claus is going to be there for the kids. A huge snow village display and a big fireplace too. I am not affiliated with the inn but am a member of the fitness center there.

Did you mean Fratello's? I Googled Fartello's to no avail. If there is a Fartello's, maybe that explains the poor atmosphere you mentioned.

Now this made me laugh. Nice reference Patman

But, we never found anything open on Christmas Eve except "WestLake" up by Walmart. They sold at that location, but I think they have a place in Wolfeboro.

Nice people owned it, the Peter Wong.

Canoe in Center Harbor ... one of few places open on Christmas eve (they take reservations).

This will be our 7th or 8th year. Coe House hasn't been opened for years on this night.

West Lake is in Wolfeboro and has been for some time. We enjoy going there. You would need to call to see if they will be open on Christmas Eve

Default Updates

For all of those who suggested places, Thank You.

We have decided to try out Mame’s in Meredith.

For those who are interested this is what I have found to be open,
Wolfeboro Inn
Canoe
Mt. Washington Hotel (#2 choice)
Woodshed
Lakehouse Grill
Fatellos

I am sure there is more but this is what I have found

Default Christmas Eve

You can't beat the Grand hotels such as Mt Washington, Grandview and Wentworth by the Sea. Unfortunately Balsams is closed this year.

My second choice will be establishments with a fireplace such as C'man, Woodshed, etc.

If your a skier/rider the Woodstock Inn is fabulous. Out West, Summit County in the Colorado Rockies can't be beat. Breckenridge is my favorite.

For Oriental, Ichabon on Manchester St in Concord is a family favorite. They have the Japanese grills.
