Default Well, Just wanted to thank you.

For the warm (well, less than warm) reminder of what it means to live back here in NH.... Power going out woke me up, but thankfully it just came back on. As I just said on FB, the Emergency Generator Fund starts today! lol. Cold, Windy, and with plenty of snow, it's beautiful. Glad to be back home.

Just heard on WMUR that Alton had a pretty major outage for about an hour this morning. That was it for outages...I don't think we've seen the end of lost power!

Outage affected part or all of : Farmington, New Durham, Wolfeboro, Alton, Gilmanton, Gilmanton Iron Works, and maybe a few other parts of neighboring towns.

Power was out for about 1:45.

It's wonderful when power goes out while sleeping with a CPaP on and you wake up gasping for air.

Keep your eyes on Craigslist, after a major storm like this it's common to see a dump of generators for short money....

Get to a computer store (or Staples or Walmart) and purchase a small UPS. It needn't run your CPaP for any length of time, but its loud beeping will ensure that you do wake up before you suffocate in your sleep. I also keep a fully-charged marine battery with an inverter on hand. It came in handy a couple times last summer.
