Default Do YOU see any ice?

I don't. There's none in Moultonborough Bay. There's none on ANY of the webcams I've visited.
Are the "authorities" sandbagging for a particular time and date???

Posted from the Winnipesaukee Weathercam on Facebook:

"Iceout update: There are a couple of ice sheets behind the MOUNT in Center Harbor bay. CH Fire Dept was buzzing around them in their boat. Broken ice has also accumulated anywhere the NW wind can't blow it down the lake."

Ice Out is declared when the Mount can safely make its rounds, correct?

Yes, that is correct. While the ice looks slushy, it can still pose a risk with more solid ice under the soft ice, even to the Mount.

Just checked Emerson Aviation on Facebook. He is declaring ice-out after just landing. He said he will post official time on his Facebook page.

Default Icebreaker

I put my 14" Lowe with 15HP merc in the water at my camp Sunday just after a fissure opened up in the ice allowing me to get out across the bay (Winter Harbor). Ater fishing for several hours, I headed back. Well, as I approached my camp, I saw that about 200' of ice had been blown in along the shore while I was out fishing. The waves were carrying right thru the ice to shore which indicated to me that I had a chance to get in. I slowly pushed my way thru the ice as it was pushed out of the way and also broke into pencil like pieces. I made it back with no damage to boat or prop. Can't say that I do that every day.
