Default Does your marina offer wireless access?

I'm curious about wireless offerings (either for members and/or guests) at Marinas on the lake.

If yours does or doesn't, could you post the name of the Marina, and if they do or don't?

I'll start:

Quayside Yacht Club - Does not offer

Default Lakeport Landing

We don't have wifi but we do have 5 bars 4G coverage! The 4G transceiver is inside the UBC tower! I get far better luck with 4G over Metrocast.

Yes, but mainly in the 'club house'. It doesn't really reach out into all the slips.

For under $200, you can extend Wifi quite a distance. I had mine at around 1/2 mile where I lived before. Home and rented motorcycle garage were quite a distance away from each other. Using directional antennas, you can go a mile pretty easily with some little power boosting technology under the hood.

Sort of like the old 10 meter linear days of CB radio. 7 watts? Hmmm, I think I want 400 watts today...

Let me know if you want some info. Please be a little tech savvy though, otherwise I will probably lose you in the first few seconds..hehe.

I think this is a political issue, more than a techincal issue.

I'm technical myself, so the technology is not an issue.

Thanks.
