Boating death.
I was reading about the boater missing on Lake Sunapee and wondered if the body was ever recovered from the last Winni drowning last year?

No word on search
Sikskr, You are one of the "WATCHERS" in the lakes region. You know that there has been no discovery of the person missing.

I am a watcher but what do you mean I KNOW there has been no discovery?NO I don't know. Why do you think I asked the question? So I take it by your sarcastic answer that that person has not been found?

last year...
I recall last year, that two people drowned (I think it was two) while swimming in the broads, on a Saturday in August. The next day, Sunday, we crossed on our way to Wolfboro for breakfast, and on the way back, were tossed about by 5 to 6 footers. (24 foot bowrider).
Anyway...I know at least one of those bodies was recovered. The second, I'm not sure. It was mid-August, I believe. |

This is the only person that was not recovered last year, Mr. Sylvestre, if memory serves me correctly.

SA Meridith:
As an aside, I think those waves you encountered were probably 3-4 footers, not 5-6 footers. |

Drowning
I believe SIKSUKR is referring to the man who fell overboard on the Mt Washington during the Halloween cruise in October 06. To answer the question, I have not heard of a body being recovered from that incident.

the facts
Secondcurve...
Never let the facts get in the way of a good story. Anyway.... That weekend was the worst I had ever seen for white caps out in the broads. In fact, on this very board, when I checked very early that Sunday morning to see if anyone who boated on Saturday had something to say, the very first post I read was titled "Who made the lake angry today..." Perhaps others remember that weekend...mid-August last year ('06). The following week, I recall seeing a helicopter over the broads off and on all week. I assumed it was searching for the body... |

No problem Pineneedles. It sounded like you were saying I knew the answer to the question I was asking.I don't.And yes,I believe the person I was refering to was the one that fell overboard from the Mount.
