Default New Eagle Shots

Got some new Eagle shots this weekend. The young one in the nest is gone. Saw both Mom and Dad but no signs of the baby. He was doing a lot of flapping exercises last weekend.

Default Eagles

Not sure if we have the same eagles, but today there were two juveniles sitting in the Moultonboro nest when an adult arrived with a large fish. First picture is awaiting arrival of dinner, second one shows 1 adult and 2 juveniles eating the fish. Light was off today due to the clouds.

Default No offense to ...

... anyone but the last thing the eagles need is boat after boat coming to see "How they're doing". I know that on Squam Lake they have a perimeter in which you have to stay beyond. Is the one on Winnipesaukee marked in a similar fashion?

If the one you are referring to is in the northern quarter of the Lake, then the answer is no. No perimeter, no boundaries. That being said, I've been there three times since June 1, and no one else was there. We do make a quiet approach and maintain a pretty good distance -- good enough that I was unable to tell if there was more than one offspring this year. Very productive pair over the years, despite having a nest blown down, etc.

The nest I've been watching, I've only seen one juvenile. Then last weekend there were none.
