Avalanche

The snow removal, roof raking, and ice dam removals must be getting to me and causing me to be irritated by little things. I am not talking about a snow avalanche, but a reoccurring Tupperware avalanche that takes place in my kitchen every night when I open a lower cabinet. How many different types, colors and shapes of unmatched Tupperware do we all need to keep in our cabinets? Whatever happened to a couple simple clear containers? Is my wife doing this to me on purpose? Do you think she will notice if I get rid of some of them? Should I even bring it up and fight this? Maybe I should keep quiet and chalk it up as motor skill therapy and puzzle building exercises for me. OK, I have to get back to the dishes and laundry. I'm good now. Thanks.

Go on line to "As seen on TV" and buy the containers that have the lids attached...there's a whole bunch, but, they're very easy to keep in the cabinet

I am constantly robbing SWMBO's kitchen gear. The Tupperware is good for brake fluid, gas and oil. The cutting boards are good for ocean fishing. Kitchen scissors, measuring cups and knives are all fair game.

When I get busted I just tell her that I've given her the opportunity to go buy new stuff and she should thank me.

Fits in a drawer and doesn't fall out
Fits all size plates and bowls
You can see what's inside without opening
Doesn't spill contents when you open it
Saves water and soap since you don't have to wash it
Open, take a bite, and close it up again, secretly. No noise.
Part way through a paint project? Wrap your brush, have a beer, unwrap and continue the project tomorrow. Can't do that with T-ware

What do YOU do with Saran Wrap that T-ware can't do?

I hear ya! We're trying to empty a 2,800 square foot four bedroom house we've lived in for 34 years and raised three kids in. The attic, basement, garage, shed, and three spare bedrooms are full! We are debilitated and don't even know where to begin. We've heard best rule of thumb: if you haven't used it in a year, get rid of it.

As we get into late spring/early summer, many churches and other organizations (eg. Lions Club) have fairs with white elephant tables or hold auctions of donated items to raise money for local community projects and to fund scholarships. They'd be more than happy to take usable stuff off your hands, and often will pick up at your house.

Years ago a guy named Tupper had a great idea. He realized that women, when confronted with a problem, go into "Nesting mode". The play room is a mess? Organize it with Tupperware! The cat food container smells Funny? Throw Tupperware at the problem!

Now Tupperware can be a useful product, but only when in use.

Do you remember the Star Trek episode "The trouble with Tribbles"? If a pair are left alone in a quiet place they breed. Soon after the little dickens showed up they were multiplying faster than Scottie could "Beam em' down".

Tupper ware is like that. If left alone in a dark, quiet space, like a kitchen cabinet they will start to multiply. And multiply. And multiply.

Be carful when opening the door! They can be vicious! What you witnessed, Denny, was not an avalanche. It was an attack!

You must grab them and put them in the microwave. Blast them with radiation until their lids don't fit. That is the only way to stop them.

Tupperware was originated right here in NH. It was invented by Earl Tupper of Berlin NH. He founded the Tupper Plastics Co in 1938.

That's my contribution to the Useless Information postings for today!
