Silver Sands webcam 2011

Our friends at Silver Sands have put up their 2011 Ice Out cam. I love this cam normally but from the looks of it this year it is going to a long time before the boat's in.

Does anyone know if the Silver Sands will have their ice out cam up this year??

I hope so as it was always fun watching the ice go through their cam!

They probably will start up soon since we are ahead of normal ice melting progression. Their webcam, I believe, is Barry with a digital camera taking a shot a day from the same spot.

I wish they would put one up. I'd be happy seeing some of the cameras that are down to be working such as varney point so that we can see the progression.

The bridge on which he takes the daily pic is being repaired. He said he would let me know when his pics are up. As of this morning I see nothing new. Funny how we all just love watching the ice melt from various locations.

I spoke with Barry last week and he is waiting for some construction to finish before he can get to his access point he takes picture from. Should be any day now but hopefully will have some ice to look at :-)
