No trucks out there today, but you're right -- it's getting close. To be safe, you need 8-12 inches of ice for a car or small pickup, and 12-15 inches for a medium truck. At current temperatures (0-15 degrees), ice thickness grows at a rate of 2-2.5 inches per day. By Friday, we will have had 4 days of these temperatures -- so Alton Bay ice should be at least 8-10 inches on top of what was there at the end of last weekend.
