Ah, yes. Now that you mentioned it, I looked it up on snopes.com - the urban legend debunker site. While they could not confirm or deny the blonde and her role in it, they heard from a Bayliner rep. who actually saw a similar event. In his case, there was no need for the chortling snorkeler because they could see the license plate of the trailer beneath the boat.
