A group of us headed out today. We started out at the railroad tracks at Lake Waukewan. We found the tracks to be real bumpy so we headed over toward Laconia, Southdown and prison loop. The trail from 104 to Rt 106 was ok. Once we got to Southdown trails were incredible. The prison loop was real nice too. The railroad tracks from Paugus Bay to Weirs were excellent. Short run today. Winipesaukee is real slushy and bearly usable. Stay away from the trails behind the Meredith Village Bank on Rt 25 in Meredith. The swamp area back there has opened up and several have fallen into the wetlands swamp area.
