The Globe fired his sorry ass--as they should have. This is the mark of how a real news organization deals with false/misleading reporting.

I will salute Fox as well for their more recent discipline. You may have noticed that they fired Trish Regan for asserting COVID-19 was a hoax. Sadly, that was after she persuaded some people.

Both of these cases illustrate why it's import to cite real news sources rather than "the internet". Readers can remember these cases years later as they think about potential bias in current reporting.
