I live in a MA border town, and would much rather shop in NH then MA if I can. Not because of the tax issue, but because the experience is usually better...the drive to get there is nicer and, once there, the stores are less crowded. Besides, the closest Barry and Elliot store in MA is an hour away, whereas I can get to the Nashua store in 1/2 hour. And if you have a large item purchased in NH delivered to MA, the store will charge the sales tax.

Yes, the lack of sales tax is a bonus, but frequently for me convenience is a bigger factor. After all, I can actually buy my booze before noon on a Sunday in NH.
