A related problem is the wholesale adoption by the populace of words that sounded ridiculous the first time you heard them, like pre-owned and homeless. Why are people identified by something they don’t have? By that construct, you can call me jetless. Call them what they were called for centuries before the 1970s, beggars and bums.
