In addition it looks like you need quite a bit of ground clearance and this vehicle looks a bit jacked up. It also looks like the tracks are hitting the body of the truck when going over bumps, up hills etc. It is clear that you can only go quite slowly with this setup.
So, I would surmise that this is useful for utility vehicle access to otherwise inaccessible winter locations. I can't see anyone saying "let's attach the tracks to the Range Rover and hit the snowmobile trails." Not a recreational application.
