Just rec'd this e-mail from Butternut Farm, 195 Meaderboro Rd, Farmington, NH.

"I just wanted to let everyone know that the apple season here at Butternut Farm is going by quickly. Going into this weekend we still have the following early season varieties available: Cortland, empire, Jon a gold, and Acey Mac. The following "late season" varieties will begin harvest on Saturday the 22nd: Mutsu (crispin), Ida Red, Golden Delicious, Northern Spy, Snow Sweet, and Aztec Fuji. We are selling a lot of "Drops" of all the above varieties and there are still some good ones of the Macs, macouns, and Gala. However none are on the trees.

I do expect apple picking to be wrapping up by the weekend of sept 29th and 30th. Way too early I know but thats all we have this season.

Pumpkins still look good and the selection will be great all weekend and into this coming week.

I'll be in touch again next week for an apple picking update. This weekend of the 22nd and 23rd will be the last "Good" weekend of apple picking. By the 29th the selection should be greatly reduced.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Giff"
