Question about Apples for sale at local farm stands...
I know this thread is about picking apples, but i have a question on apples for sale at farm stands:
Where would be the best place to go to get a nice variety of apples?
I usually go to Apple Ed's on Moultonborough Neck Rd. for Macs; but I'm not sure how much variety he has now (i know he retired a few years ago, but there are usually still some apples at his road side stand)...
I will need other apples in addition to the Macs - I am doing a fall appetizer which calls for different types of apples so that i have a variety of fall colors on my platter (I'm thinking Red Delish, Golden Delish, Fuji)
Any thoughts?
*Does anybody on the neck know what kid of apples Apple Eds has right now?
