Default On Merrymeeting too

He's covering a lot of ground! Though hopefully we are seeing multiple birds. I had the pleasure of seeing one on Merrymeeting Tuesday morning.

While out for an early morning ski, spotted one along the shore on a tree stump that sticks out of the water. I stopped the boat (my sister who was on a ski at the time was not too happy until she saw him/her too). Unfortunately, as soon as I stopped, "he" took off toward the woods, heading northeast toward Wolfeboro. The white tail feathers and head were unmistakable.
