I have a Torqueedo--it is excellent and has been zero maintenance and trouble free for 6 years. I especially love not having to deal with gas. I bought mine from Flying Scot, they do not list it separately in their shop, but I believe it is still available from them. Your friend should phone them to discuss. They are super friendly and helpful
