Two major problems I have with snowboards are:

They tend to ruin the trail condition quicker by scraping the snow instead of carving mostly because of having 1/2 the edge contact.The operater does make a difference here but in general its just the law of physics.

Having a stance facing one way there is a huge blindspot.Coming from a skier that passes many sliders every run,it can be very unnerving trying to get past boarders when you know they have no idea your passing on their backside.

Small issues are sitting around on the trails but I understand the limitations of standing still.

They are really noisy on frim snow!

Having said that:
The mountains are for every type of snow tool attached to your feet.So deal with it SS!
