As of about 12:45, a boat arrived at Pine Island Guy's camp. The operator has docked, and removed the the "Danger - Thin Ice" sign. Obviously there's clear transit from somewhere on the mainland, to Pine Island - either that or a miracle just happened.
Today is one of those days when you can literally watch the ice melting, and it's doing so very fast.
