Final total at Black Cat is 17.4 inches. The moon is out now, with a few stars overhead. This much snow, in less than 24 hours... not sure when was the last time this happened. January 1994 comes to mind. This much snow on a calendar day (midnight to 23:59)... probably even longer ago.

The WeatherCam page, re-designed last summer, now has quick links to snowfall reports and maps. Look at the menu to the left of the current camera image on BlackCatNH.com. Both "recent weather" and "storm observations" open sub-menus that include snowfall reports by the National Weather Service, including this station.

Looks like there were a few 20-inch totals around the lake, and in the rest of the state as well.

Whoever gets up the ski slopes first tomorrow morning will be able to cut freshies in powder. There's a 20-inch amount reported from Laconia, so we may assume Gilford, and Gunstock's north-facing slope, probably gathered up even more.
