While not advocating Walmart in any way, good old American made products which you would think would be less if made here are a heck of a lot more expensive than a few pennies. Fact is if we bought American we could only afford to buy half of what we buy.
I’d love to buy Carhartt work pants but for the same price I can buy 3-4 pairs of other work pants. They may not last as long but still it stretches the dollar a lot further.
As for American made automobiles the front page of the December Consumer Reports states under, Most & least reliable cars, Asian models excel, Ford stumbles.
I’m not saying I don’t buy American when I can afford it but if you can afford to buy American made all the time then you’re a heck of a lot better off then a lot of us are.
