I disagree. My pre-teens, who watch some PG-13 movies and the occasional R (mostly Bond flix), are not exposed to the things you might find in a Spencer Gifts or, even worse, a Jolly Jays. Nor are their friends. Sure, they are hearing and seeing a limited amount of suggestive material (crude jokes mostly), but it's not in-your-face visuals. Exactly what children are you referring to? Unless they're teens, they probably aren't looking at this kind of stuff yet. The kids I know are too well supervised and, honestly, don't have the interest at this point. It's just too yucky for them!
