I agree with everyone that the bartender has to be responsible for who he serves. But - don't we all have the right to know who is looking at our IDs? Yes - it could have been the owner or an inspector... or it could have been a friend of the bartender's or another customer from New Jersey. I wouldn't want my personal information including my address passed around.
