Who say the Lakes Region has changed?
Back in the day, on the ride up to the lake:
-a flat tire wasn't an unusual event (I'm not sure "radials" were even a choice).
-all of us kids knew our roles in roadside emergencies
-@ 55mph, many "pit stops"
-smoking tailpipe- thank God that's all it is (better than it falling off)!
- pa-do-din! what ever the game was , you could punch your sibling in the arm
-seat belts???
-detours??? (in rural N.H.)- (add 1/2 - 1 hour to trip!)
-single tempo wipers- sing a song to that tempo- Frere Who? (how many times?)
-over heat?- Hah!
-windshield- I think we had bigger/more bugs back then!
-finally- the RADIO- who had control?
