Down here in Beverly, we have three post offices; one main and two small branches. We're lucky in some respects; the same two or three workers have been there for some time and really do a pretty good job for the most part. But it's true, often there is only one person at the counter with 4 or 5 people in line because of the mandatory breaks. Starting just after Thanksgiving, there can be very lengthy lines/waits. I have learned to go to the small office in Prides Crossing and there may only be one person in front of me. I know every town is different.
