Default Getting to Alton

One method not often mentioned is to get yourself to Wolfeboro, take the Mt Washington to Weirs, spend several days enjoying the vehicular, motorbike, and boat traffic, eat some 'boardwalk' food, and eventually ride the Mt Wahington downstream to Alton. This route is seriously longer, costs a bundle more, is very hard to justify, and requires several changes of socks, BUT, it avoids the Hooksett tolls, the Epsom Circle jam up, and the confusion at the Circle. Plus, the view riding on the Mount is spectacular. Good Luck.
