In addition to whips and docklines permanently attached to the dock, I use (Two) 10x26 inch "vertically hanging"
Fenders, also permanently attached to the dock. They are VERY Oversize, and way too big to carry in the boat. The boat is 20' long and weighs 2700#. I bought my fenders at a second hand marine consignment store.
