Hi all

Longtime lurker here reaching out to say hello. I'm always looking for dive buddies, just send a PM or email.

Cheers,

Mike

Welcome Mike!!! I just got back from Curacao and did an "introductory" dive there, and I think I may be hooked again. ( I'm certified from 30 years ago, and my daughter is newly certified.) So I may be signing up to get recertified, if I have time. Anyway, welcome to the other side of the board.

I'll be splashing at Nubble tomorrow evening at 6:30ish if you want to join up.

Hey Flounder,

Same OldFlounder from SB I'm guessing?

Tomorrow is bad but Thursday is open. I was considering McKinney Park as an alternative site.

I'm itching to take the shrinkwrap off the boat and head to Rye Harbor!

Hello Mike - Yes it's the same oldflounder as on SB. There are several [hubbles, scubajay, etc.] of us here that also lurk there. Thursday is not good for me so I will be out tonight. I like doing Wednesdays in the summer because it breaks up the workweek and makes the weekend get here faster.

I don't do Clark's Point much because those stairs are a killer to an old man like me. Especially this time of year with all the winter gear on and the steel 100. I prefer to do the town boat ramps where it is easy access and there are no boats yet. I can put the scuba unit on the dock and just back up into it for donning/doffing.

I am hoping to go to Centre Harbor docks this Saturday morning if anyone is interested in getting wet and trying out some new gear.

Tempting...very tempting...if it weren't for the 430 mile commute.

But our season begins down here in a few days...and then it's just a few weeks 'til I'll be blowing bubbles in Winni again. Wish it was this week, with the early ice out and balmy temps. 81 up there yesterday...wow...a degree warmer than San Antonio, Texas. How often does that happen?

Good to know there are other Winni divers on SB. See you there. Heading to Beneath the Sea in NJ this weekend...perfect way to kick off 2012 season.
