The northwest end of the lake has been shadowed by the Ossipees, again. This has happened in snowstorms, and now with the rain. Whenever there is a storm generating strong northeast winds here, the NW end of the lake gets shadowed by the Ossipees. The other side of the range gets the heavy rain or snow, and this side gets off-and-on showery type stuff. A few miles further downwind, the precipitation re-generates.

So, the WeatherCam's rain total so far is 0.44 inch... less than half an inch. The deck boards are drying out, even while radar shows rain overhead.

Some of it fell as sleet, especially at night. The snow level was pretty low with this storm, as it was with the last.

The lake level is rising quickly, however. It's 6 inches below the "approximate full" mark here.

As for winds, not as high as last storm but there have still been a few trees coming down here and there. This station had several wind gusts to 56 mph from the east yesterday. The wind reached 40 mph about an hour ago.

Speaking of the Ossipees, all these storms were ice on top with heavy wind. Notice the rime ice on everything :(
