Boat Trailer maintenance

I have a boat trailer with rollers.

How should I lubricate these rollers ?

Grease, Oil, Silicon spray?

Thanks,
Bigdog

bigdog...

I always used vegetable oil in a squirt can. It won't eat the rubber rollers, or put toxins/carcinogens in the Lake!
Hope this helps...

I would use Fluid Film on any rollers that get dunked. If you already have corrosion, you may want to swap the bolts for stainless and the rollers for urethane. My trailer has two rollers that never go under water and I use Mercury 101 on them.

I've had great luck with Dupont Multi-Use Teflon spray. You can generally pick it up at the local hardware store. It forms a dry, waxy coating, protects for a good length of time, and wont wash off when you splash your boat! It also works great for lubricating chains on equipment, motorcycles or bikes.
