Ok I have to share this experience with all of you.
A group of us were out on the sleds this past weekend and we were in Meredith bay enjoying the scenery of the derby. We wanted to go for a quick ride on the snowmobiles but we didn't want to go too far. So we came up with the idea to go ride the "Prison Loop" in Laconia. For those of you that are unfamiliar with that, it is a loop that takes you from Parade road around down to Winnisquam and back around the prison to Parade Road. Not a super long ride but a nice ride. We were about to head back to Meredith when we saw signs for Tavern 27 and we all decided we wanted to check it out. Just grab one quick drink and poke around and be nosy.

We noticed quite a few sleds and cars in the parking lot, it was Saturday around 4:30ish. From the moment we opened the door to walk in I was impressed. First thing we noticed is the small bar area was pretty busy. The owner (we figured this out later) greeted us at the door with an extremely warm welcome. We looked towards the bar and noted that there was really no room for us. We said to the owner we were only grabbing a quick drink. He immediately accommodated us and invited us to take a table in the dining room. I was impressed as he was probably only going to make $30 off of us. We sat at a high top round table in an extremely well decorated really neat old farmhouse. You really need to go check this place out. They have done a ton of work inside. Check out the custom sconce's on the lights, way too cool.
Anyway our waitress was awesome she took a drink order offered us several types of water and was super quick with the drinks. In the meantime the owner was cleaning tables off and came to talk to us. Well this little conversation ended up being a great deal more than that. He ended up pulling up a chair and sharing his life's story with us. Everything that led him to where he is right now. All I can say is that this is the kind of guy you want to have success. He has a great inspirational outlook on life and he has seen and done quite a bit. He has extensive restaurant experience from Florida to Colorado and between. We checked out the menu and discussed all of the dishes and their inspiration. We never ordered any food as we all had plans, and some had wives waiting for them ;) He didn't care that we were only spending a few bucks, he treated us like we were his best customers.

All I can say is that if this is reflective of the service at this establishment than we will be back and I am sure we will be back again after that. The items on the menu looked absolutely mouth watering. Tapas are traditionally Spanish type dishes. What the owner has done is take Tapas and customize them to the Northeast palate. Lots of neat seafood items and some meat and potatoes type stuff. We asked how many tapas would feed a table full of 4 hungry adults and he recommended about 6 per table +/- as some items are hearty and others are more of a taste experience, like an artichoke dish on the menu.

I really wish I could share a review of the food for you all. I decided to share this story because the experience was so memorable for us. When we go back I will share the food review for you.

FYI As a guest on Saturday you were a part of what is now a new daily sales record for us and also a three day total sales record. Thank you. I thought we handled it well as a team. Thank god tomorrow is Monday and we can all get some rest before kicking things back into gear for what I forecast to be another record week.

Finally had time to stop in to Tavern 27 this afternoon for a small bite to eat along with some soothing adult beverages. It was late afternoon when we arrived and so quiet that we got to chat with the owners, both friendly with a sense of humor and they both obviously care about the quality of the the food that they serve. The food was "lick-your-plate" good (OK-so I borrowed that phrase from one of the stories that the owner told us, but honest, it was that good!) Later we got to meet the evening waitress and she was just as delightful.

It will not be my last visit! Next time I want to be with a group of friends so I can taste more than just two of their offerings.

Girls Weekend
 

Girls weekend is starting tomorrow. A number of us from the forum are planning on enjoying the weekend. Tomorrow evening we will be enjoying Annie and the Orphans at the Belknap Mill. After that we hope to stop in at Tavern 27 for cocktails and food.

A few of us "girls" from the Winni forum stopped at Tavern 27 this evening. The drinks and the food was absolutely yummy. One of he owners, Ray, and a waitress named Ann bend over backwards for us. It is such a wonderful place to relax and have a good time. We will be back!!!! Earlier in the evening we attended the Cabin Fever gathering at Belknap Mill. We walked around and were treated to yummy food from The Soda Shoppe, Hector's, The Black Cat Cafe, Burrito Me, Laconia Village Bakery and Awakening Expresso Cafe. We then danced up a storm in the mill while Annie & the Orphans played. They were fabulous as always. Annie & the Orphans were the first live band I ever saw. They were playing in 1964 at a street dance in Center Harbor. What fun then and what fun now!

Wow, GBGirl.....that's going back a ways. Do you also remember some of the other great local bands. The Ossipee Mt Boys, Joe Droukas and the Bombers and the Whitfield band.....looks like Annie has outlasted them all but they were all great bands and drew big crowds wherever they played........I'm talking 70's and 80's 1964 is going waaaaaaay back...even for me:emb:

I do remember all the bands you mentioned. We have had some great music and great times over the years in the Lakes Region. I just love living here, although winter does seem long long long! Maybe you should start having bands at the VK. Now that would be fun.I think we use to listen to bands when it was the Old Bud's Pub. Do you remember that? How about the Begger's Banquet ( Paul Costley), The Stone Hearth and the White Hat? Were you involved with the White Hat?

We must know each other, GB Girl.......We loved Beggars banquet, and Paul is a good friend of mine...he's still doing music, by the way.....think it's called "Not so costly productions" or something like that.....and, yup, I did own the "Hat" for 7 years.....that was some serious fun....all the local bands we mentioned plus some bigger rock and blues bands. Remember JB Hutto and the New Hawks? Crossfire? The Boston Brats, Rosie?......I love that biz but Sammie would kill me as I slept if I even THOUGHT of opening a club.
The reason there are so few clubs with entertainment, now, is mostly the cost. Insurance for a club with full liquor license, live entertainment and dancing is in the $30,000 range as I understand.....too bad, there used to lots of good places to go dancing.

Jeesh Samiam, who says you can't dance at the VK without a full liquor license and a band. Next time I have breakfast there I'm jumping up on the table and putting on a show. You should see me dance with 2 eggs in my hand and bacon on my head.:laugh:

Finally got to try the new Tavern 27/Tapas Restaurant on route 106, (we always like to try a new place and this was it) OMG, it was awesome, the food was excellant and so many varitety of foods. The owners who are so nice, pleasant and helpful especially when we asked questions about them and the place. They are working on improving the golf course to make it better also come spring and summer. The one waitress we met (we went in between lunch and dinner) was so pleasant and welcoming, gave us a look at what the staff is like, which is great.

The place should be a hit, everyone needs to just try it once and you'll always want to come back for more. I loved it, especially the way the food is set up to share with people your with, what a great idea, everyone gets a taste of what they like. Oh ya, one more thing, the Prices are so reasonable, you can't go wrong. We love and can't wait to go back.

Go for it, Siksukr....you'll probably have company if Sheri is working.........that's how I discovered her.

We tried Tavern 27 again last night and it was awesome again. We tried different things, even something I normally won't eat, and it was yummy. It was wine down wednesday so anything sold by the glass was half off, we had the house riesling which was great. Can't say it enough, people need to go, we had so much fun with the owners Ray and Leslie and their staff, they make you feel right at home.:D

A Fantastic Surprise
 

I thought I would write a great review of Tavern 27, but the positive comments above are already spot on.

My wife and I were looking for a new spot to try for lunch and Google Places popped up with 5 stars for Tavern 27. I'm skeptical when anything gets a perfect score, but our visit was just that -- perfect. We even joked during our meal that we couldn't ever go back because they couldn't top the experience we had yesterday. But we'll definitely be back.

Leslie greeted us warmly and after a complimentary sampler and trip to get our drinks, she gladly made some suggestions. We pretty much followed her lead and started with the spinach and artichoke dip with farfalle pasta chips. I would have been happy with that alone (delicious!), but continued our tapas tour with the hand cut sweet potato fries, grilled chicken skewers, winter squash puffs and finished with the cloud 9 shrimp. Each item was superb.

What a treat to have Ray and Leslie join us in the Lakes Region. The food is fantastic and their genuine pride of ownership and customer care are refreshing. The attention to detail and atmosphere are equally wonderful. As we left, our comments to one another were, "Wow, that was really good" and "Clearly they've done this before."

5 stars. All well deserved.

Is Tavern 27 right on the Prison Loop trail? Or if I am on Prison Loop are there signs?

FWIW, Jaleo, a restaurant in the newly-opened Cosmopolitan casino in Las Vegas, serves Spanish food / tapas and is a huge success.

Tapas are taking the culinary world by storm, and it's about time.

I'm witnessing this incoming storm first hand. This is the third restaurant I've been at the helm of. I started all of them from a similar foundation. Each were distressed or abandon during a recession. Now 10 months old and things are taking off rather fast around here. I visit with as many Tavern 27 guests as I can. I'm frequently amazed by the extreme enthusiasm in their responses.

Tavern 27 has put an Americana twist on Tapas. The closest thing on our menu to Spanish food is a bowl of olives. I point this out because it is my observation that the attraction to Tapas is more likely the "small plate" approach to dinning. People seem to be enjoying the flow of smaller artistic dishes and the subsequent conversation created. I have had several guest compare their dinning experience at Tavern 27 to that of being a judge on Top Chef. Or maybe it's the Great wine:)

We finally got some friends together and went to Tavern 27 last Wednesday for tapas. The evening was WONDERFUL! The food and service were exceptional. We felt like the owners, Ray and Leslie, were old friends by the end of the evening. I would higly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a unique experience and great food. Looking forward to our next visit. Wish it was closer as we live in Wolfeboro, although it was well worth the drive of 45 minutes.

Thanks Barbara, I think I saw you there with your friends at the bar. Everyone seems to love this place and why not, the owners Ray and Leslie always make you feel welcome and at home at the same time. My friend and I have been going there every Wednesday since February, sometimes twice a week, if the powers that be (money) lets us. The food is awesome and prices are great. Bringing more friends with us this Wednesday, and I know they are going to love it too. Keep up the good work. :D

We checked out Tavern 27 on Mother's Day and here's what we found; an interesting menu with something for everyone, a full bar, a comfy atmosphere, great service and yummy eats! We'll be going back and bringing friends!

The boss and I stopped on our way home from the Squam Science Center late this afternoon.

Everything positive that has been written about Tavern 27 was confirmed with our visit. Coffee and a small "bite" was what we were looking for. The coffee was served in individual "French Press", very classy and delicious! We tried the Calamari and steak Tapas. In a word, Wonderful!

Bayco and Leslie took the time to spend some time telling us about the road they took to end up in the LR. Very friendly atmosphere, great food and nice people. How do you beat that.

Great Drinks and Service
 

We enjoyed the great drinks and service. The food is very good too but the portions could be larger for the price you paying. It would be nice if they cleaned up the back. Time for a yard sale and whatever can't be sold, donate it to Waste Management.

price in ratio to portion size was an early dilemma I faced. Do I buy, then serve lower quality from the conglomerates for a cheaper price or do I feature local, fresher quality for a higher price? This was a difficult decision because our labor intense approach to preparation and presentation were other factors worthy of consideration when pricing our menu. Please also understand that Tavern 27 is so small that we can't make it up in volume. I'll never rush a party from their seats to turn a table. I prefer our guests to tell us when they are done, not us tell them.

I don't plan to enlarge my portions or lower my prices but if you are looking for value with quality, come back in August when we are harvesting our garden. I believe I'll be able to create some specials, fresh from the garden that can compete with the chain store prices.

Now about that clutter in the back :( Yes I agree it needs to go away. It's on my list and in part the inspiration behind our welcome / three year plan message. I'm learning that building / running a restaurant while also revitalizing a once abandoned golf course combine for an extremely labor intense way of life. There are only so many hours in a day. Please bare with me. I promise that the space you wrote of will one day be considered one of the more attractive features of the Mystic Meadows.

That explains it. I thought I smelt road kill from the back of the driving range when I was picking up balls.

I don't know how many gophers I have here. They all look alike. I may be seeing the same one several times or many different ones, which means they are as heavily populate as Japan. I enjoy watching them run away. They are very cute and snugly in appearance. I don't have the kind of heart that wants to harm them but if I have to defend myself, here's the strategy; I'll inject the vegetation that borders the garden with yellow number five. It's a dye that conglomerates are putting in almost everything. Science has proven it to make the male specious impudent. Once the males eat the vegetation he will know longer be able to be the life of the party and therefore be incapable of impregnating the females. The local population will then die off. Unless... they learn how to order Viagra on-line. Hmmm:look:, dose any body know how to lobby a drug company to fund such a stratigy.

A note I neglected to include in my last post; The food I serve, is worth the price I ask, because my concern for what I put in your stomach is above and beyond that of most of your options.. I look forward to pleasing your taste buds and watch out for your health for a very long time.

My tee times are booked on Wednesdays for the next 9 weeks until after 2:30 PM. You could eat lunch first and play later.


I hope you hit it straight. I'm told the greens are rolling better than they have in decades so you can go low, but Jade Trace can be extremely penalizing to the extremely inaccurate golfer. I encourage golfer who have a hard time staying within the closer cut areas to make arrangements to attend one of my clinics.

Baygo-Can't wait to try Tavern 27. Meanwhile you may want try another solution for the gophers...a yellow dye that makes them impudent will make them rude, ill-mannered or cheeky...which is probably what you DON'T want :) Now if you found way to make them impotent...then you might have something there.

Finally got here today. played a little golf then had lunch and got to meet Baygo. All in all a great experience food was great, atmosphere was great , service very attentive so of course will be back

Is there a bar in Tavern 27?

I love tapas and I'm going to be up at the lake for two weeks starting next Wednesday. I'd love to try Tavern 27 but because I'll be alone it feels a little more comfortable eating at a bar as opposed to a table.

There is a bar, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone eating at it. There are 2 high-top tables in the bar area that would be fine for a lone diner. I'm sure they can accommodate you though.

We had a fabulous dinner at Tavern 27 last night!

Ray (the owner) greeted us upon arrival....super friendly guy! We had a reservation for 8:15 and were seated right away. We ordered a ton of food and 5 bottles of wine (yup....for a party of six :D).

Well done Tavern 27.....you are my new favorite restaurant in the lakes region!!

The 2011 CHILDREN'S AUCTION BASH
To Benefit 98.3 WLNH Children's Auction was the straw that broke the camels back. The last time Leslie and I enjoyed a Friday Night out Dancing was too long ago, along with such a great cause; how could we refuse? The decision was made to leave the place in the hands of the team we created. Full disclosure; I thought we'd be slow because the event was taking place nearby.

I was wrong on two counts. First; for taking so long to get out and mix with the community away from our place. We had a fantastic time in the company of fantastic people! Second for thinking Tavern 27 would be slow.

We returned to learn that it was fairly busy and the team rose to the occasion with the exception of one dessert that took unusually long. I'm proud of the team, but concerned for the guest who had to wait. I know that a disappointed person is likely to tell others so I am asking forum members to keep an ear to the ground and if along the way you hear of said experience being shared, please relay my invitation to return for a complimentary dessert. I would have compt the dessert had I been there.


Regarding complimentary desserts and the Children's Auction. To those who participate; bring by proof that you won an item for over $250 and Tavern 27 will treat you to a complimentary dessert. Win an item over $500 and we will treat you and a guest to a dessert each and I will personally buy you a Quartino of our house wine to share. Valid thru Jan 30, 2012

Great Time
 

Stopped in yesterday afternoon with some friends after reading about Tavern 27 on this site, & have to say we were all very impressed. Ray met us as we arrived, and made us feel very comfortable. He & his staff seem to have a real passion for everything they are doing. Food was fantastic & we had a great time joking around & chatting with other groups. Make an effort if you have not visited yet, you will not be disappointed !!!

Try Tavern 27!
 

We stopped in a couple of weeks ago--a Sunday evening. Got reservations but didn't need them, there were several open tables. There was a big party in the main room, and our service was excellent (Thanks Ann!)!

Ray was of course his usual charming and helpful self. Not overly so, just the "nice guy" he is. Count on him explaining how tapas works--it's not your usual dining experience! It's a great way to try a variety of great foods. Some of this and that. We had the duck confit meatballs, chickpea fries, and a nice flatbread pizza... All were delicious and the chickpea fries were to die for!

Stop in--call ahead and make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy! You won't be disappointed! But put T27 on your "must try" list!

The good, the bad, the ugly
 

My wife and I made our first trip to Tavern 27, as we were looking for something a little different and finally had a baby sitter. This is tapes restaurant (code for typically overpriced and small portions). We sat near the bar and the found the bartender to be very friendly and attentive. We appreciated the comfortable feel of restaurant.

The Good: We started off w/ the fried Haddock “Haddock Bowl of Bites”. It was delicious! It appeared to be covered in a bread crumbs vs. the typically fried covering you get on most fried food. The portion was very large and I’d have to say the best fried fish I’ve had. It was also delivered piping hot and even our last pieces were releasing steam. $12.00 and well worth it!

The Bad: - I wouldn’t say “bad”, but the Fried Calamari was “nothing to write home about” and something we wouldn’t order again. We would rather try our luck at one of the other items off the menu. $10.00 and priced fair.

The Ugly: Uggh! We visited on July 3rd and they had what is called a red/white/blue special. It was their version of Surf & Turf. It was 4 skews with SMALL (3 bites) of tenderloin (RED) ½ of a scallop (white and the Turf) and blue cheese inside of a roasted pepper. It was actually pretty tasty and something we would try again.
That is until we got the bill!! We couldn’t believe that they charged $27.00 for the " surf/turf" Remember these are not entrees, but rather appetizer size dishes. Shame on us for not asking up front what the cost was. It really didn’t “hit us” until while driving home. It was a sense of everything was good about Tavern 27 however, it just leaves a real “bad taste in your mouth” to be charged so much for so little. We would have appreciated it if the waitress told us the price, as we simply would not have ordered it. $27 and felt ripped off. I would have expected $15 or maybe $17.

We will perhaps give them another try, but we will be sure to avoid their not-so-special(s).

Yes, in fact that is when we felt the prices were somewhat reasonable. Then we had the first dish (hadock) and thought we hit a home run.
Our "swing and miss" was not aking what the special cost which was not listed on the menu.

hi ccw1844, it comes as no surprise that you enjoyed the Haddock. That is the number one thing I hear people coming through my door saying they were told to try. The Haddock is prepared with the same Gluten Fee coating that the Calamari has. Sorry to read you did not care for the Calamari.

Now about that "Ugly Special;" you wrote of. All specials are describe in detail on the chalk board in our entrance, The price is well posted. The description for that special was "6oz of beef tenderloin skewed with 2 halved U10 scallops (Big Scallops), home roasted red peppers and chunks of Bailey Hazen Blue Cheese"

The scallops are one of our better selling items as a stand alone for the currant market price of $16 There is a competitor who offers an 8-oz beef tenderloin for $25 that comes with a salad, potato, and veggie. We've received praise for our 6oz when offered as a stand alone for $17. Combine $16 with $17 and you should arrive at $33, and that is before we add in the very expensive Bailey Hazen. This was certainly a special special from where I sit, all our dishes are priced from the same formula. If you know places where we can get tenderloin and scallops of the same quality for less than we are paying now, please let me know. I'll pass the savings on. Frankly I don't think it is possible to find them for little enough to price the dish in the $15 to $17 range, Not even if we had the buying power of a big chain and were willing to settle for genetically altered beef. Actually we could price it there but we would soon be out of business if we did.

It is a shame that you did not arrive at this until after you left. I have a sincere desire and reputation to send our guests home happy. Had I known this when you were here I'd have made an effort to help you understand.

I hope you stayed for the Fireworks that night as it was a very special celebration for us.

My sister and her party of four, the Smiths, ate at Tavern 27 Tuesday night. I referred them never having been there myself but because of all the great comments made here on the forum. They said they had a great time, great food and got to meet you. I'll be up there the 23rd through the 31st and plan to make this one of our dining stops. Thanks to all who posted their comments about Tavern 27. You all, especially you Baygo, made their night special.

Well after reading the reviews decided to give it a try. Wow glad we did! Have tried many resturants in the lakes region and would say this is one of the best we've tried in a while. Been to the various Common Man's, Canoe, Coe House and many others. This isn't your standard salad and dinner plate. Glad we tried and will be back again.

I really enjoy Tavern 27. Personally, I think it best to go with 6-8 people sharing the various plates:liplick:

We had another great meal at Tavern 27 last night.

It was the first time I had their clam chowder and I have to rate it the best I have had in NH to date. I would love to have a bread bowl of that when snowmobiling!

Tried it for the first time
 

We recently were in the neighborhood looking at properties at SDSores and had a few minutes to kill while we waited for the realtor. We were planning on just grabbing a coffee but it was close to the lunch hour and had been hearing good things about Tavern 27.

We had a flatbread and the mushrooms. Both were incredible and we felt priced fairly. The service was excellent, though it was early and there wasn't a large lunch crowd yet. However, everyone appeared to be friendly and the regulars were known by their first names.

On our way out a gentlemen started some small talk as we passed him at the bar. We had a great conversation with him and then released he was the owner. The atmosphere was very friendly and inviting, the food was great and we will return. We may even become regulars as we close on our new home at SD at the end of the month.

First time since it was Tavern 27
 

I have been here a few times when the Delucca family owned the building and golf course. I ate here once when it was the 'stone front'? I can't recall the last name.

Last night it was beautiful out and I decided to try something new. Tavern 27 is just up the road from the house, so I stop for pizza.

The food, service, atmosphere was superb! I can't imagine eating a pizza, watching a full moon and listening to piano music, seems surreal.

I heartily recommend the place. Since it is small I would visit during the week or off season.

i haven't made it there yet, been planning to though. i hear their flatbread pizzas are excellent. i live right down the street from there too!

Great meal Friday night
 

Went Friday night with a party of six. One word...Awesome!! Ray,"Baygo", was the perfect host and spoke with us at length about the history of the restaurant and menu. Service, atmosphere and especially the food was the best we've had in the area. The spiced pork tapas, stuffed blue dates, scotch egg, the duck confit and the scallop with roasted garlic were some of the tapas we enjoyed. Wanted to try the dessert tapas but were just too full to attempt.

If you haven't tried Tavern 27 yet, please do so...I think you'll have a great night with good food, good drinks and friendly staff. Thanks Ray!!

We have been going to Tavern 27 for a couple of years and it is excellent. They have a large number of dishes that are gluten free, such as fried calamari, which is almost impossible to find without flour breading anywhere else. They have a full bar and something in their American Tapas small plates for everyone. Definitely one of the better dining spots in the Lakes Region.

I wish I could say I LOVE Tavern 27... I agree, the food is very good, the atmosphere is charming, and the live music is really top notch - particularly 7 days a week. Our only gripe - and we've been several times - is in the owner, who, ever time we've gone, has either dominated our conversation with tales about himself, or has done the same at other tables. Additionally, we didn't love how he treated some of his staff. After our last visit it was enough to sour us from returning for a while. :(

I think the owner cares a lot about the business, and as a result is sometimes overenthusiastic about ensuring his guests are having a good experience. We love the food at Tavern 27. Our one complaint is that we like to sit at the bar, and the bar tables are usually reserved for "members." I don't think we should have to pay a premium to sit where we want, especially when no one is sitting in the bar area. (This has happened to us several times.) We live in South Down, and would go to Tavern 27 one or two times a month instead of one or two times a year.

Just to give you an alternative perspective... We've been members since the beginning, and more than once have been able to get one of those bar tables semi-last minute on a busy night. We also have a place in South Down, so it's super convenient (and worth the small membership fee) to do so.

Considering that the membership thing is fairly cheap ($50?), and Tavern27 certainly isn't on the lower-end of the price scale to eat at, it would seem the membership cost shouldn't be such a big deal? Maybe that's just my perspective, but your post basically makes it sound like you're preventing yourself from enjoying what you want over a relatively small cost, especially when factored into all the other costs of "being at the lake".

I appreciate your perspective Brk-Int. It's not the money but more of the principle. We typically go out Friday and Saturday nights, and the other places we frequent don't make us pay a premium for sitting at open spaces at the bar. (We prefer to sit at the bar rather than the dining room.) There are a lot of options that we enjoy, so it's not a big deal. We would go to Tavern 27 more often if it left the bar seating to first come, first served.

Public Welcome. Some one has misinformed you. Everyone can reserve bar seats and many people do. Non-members can reserve seats at the bar or any place else in the tavern excluding the Mulligan Room (aka 2 tables near bar). Non-members can reserve other tables when available and request to be seated in the Mulligan Room upon their arrival. We will gladly seat non-members there as long as there are no reservations for the requested table.

There are several levels of membership at Tavern 27. The most popular of which is our social/tavern membership. It is $55 a year. We have enjoyed a very high percentage of renewals on this membership and there is currently a waiting list until April 2014

Thanks Baygo. I guess I was talking about the Mulligan Room, not the actual bar area. We prefer the seats in the Mulligan Room since they have backrests. I am sure we would save more than $55 over the course of the year with the 10% discount, but my preference would be to avoid the upfront cost. Anyway, I am sure the business model works for you. We enjoy your food.

I'm with you Major, I prefer a seat with a back. I'll be glad to swap one for you if need be.

I have taken 2 days off back to back 4 times out of the past 1,640 days (4 1/2b years). Those are the longest breaks I've taken. This will change soon as I just bought an airline ticket to go chase a golf ball for5 days. These 5 days create an excellent opportunity for you and others who love our food but loath me to come in and enjoy. What is your favorite dish on our menu? The staff will be sure to have it for you Jan 12th thru 17th.

We were in a few days before New Years, everything was excellent as always, Baygo enjoy your time off, you deserve it!

Lol baygo - Hope you enjoyed your well-earned vacation. I actually know how that is, in this industry. Gotta lay down my sword and shield and get back in there and give you another whirl. Afterall, the food is amazing, I know the chef is talented, AND a lovely person to boot. Perhaps we just met on an 'off' night. If my significant other ever gets a night off :) we'll have to start fresh. Peace and happy winter! Don't get too cranky b/c you can't swing a club.

Just wanted to stop in and say that the wife and I stopped in to try Tavern 27 for the first time this past Sunday and were very impressed. We've heard nothing but good things about it, and it's always nice when a place like this holds up to our expectations. The food was great, service was excellent, price was reasonable, and the live music was an added bonus. We look forward to going back.

We stopped into Tavern 27 yesterday. We were met by Ray as we walked in and were lucky enough to be seated without a reservation. The food and service were excellent. We will definitely be back. Thanks to Ray and the Tavern 27 staff for a great dining experience.
