Wonder if it is stable and steady enough to use alone on the lake when the water temperature is between 40 and 50-degrees with 20-mph winds, like in December or late April? Price; about $1300 to $2200, depending on size, without a motor or paddle.

Well. well.....one type of vessel which I have yet to see on the lake....and the Wave-Walk kayak sort of looks like a yellow Laser Funboat which is a 12' sail-cat that Fay's has now for $2300.


No back pain....no leg numbness...is what it claims because you sit in an upright elevated position as opposed to a normal kayak....as shown paddling into some big ocean waves??? For every kayak out on Lake Winnipesaukee, there's probably 25 motorboats out there on any summer day?

Is this a good usable design or just another high-priced wacky boat-nut item?

With a length of 11'4", weight of 60-lbs, and price of $1350; this possibly seems like it could be a good boat for doing through-the-ice rescues of someone who fell though the ice while providing a stabil, reliable, fast ready-to-use rescue safety platform. Two people can carry it down to the water and then push and pull it out across the ice until it either reaches open water or breaks thru the thin ice. Sort of shaped like an H with four carry handles, being light weight and stable, plus moving over the ice like a couple of ice skating blades, it has a design that seems like it would make a good winter rescue vessel suitable for a small town fire dept. At just 60-lbs, it could possibly be tied onto the top of a fire vehicle for the winter, ready to hit the ice on super short notice. Being paddled, it is very simple to use and get going, plus it has a design option to add a 2-hp outboard, and is available in bright safety yellow.

Is this new vessel a super-duper winner design?
