Consistency - Water Temps

It never ceases to amaze me the consistency over the years...

No matter the good or bad weather patterns, rainy or sunny months, global warming or not, etc, the lake water temps remain amazingly consistent, especially on the boundaries between the warm/cold seasons.

As we're about to drop into the 40's heading into winter, below are the website recorded water temps on this date for the past 10 years (I think the last several years readings are more reliable with better equipment and attention),

2000 - 49
2001 - 52
2002 - 47
2003 - 52
2004 - 51
2005 - 51
2006 - 49
2007 - 52
2008 - 50
2009 - 50

Water temperature trends

Wait a minute here!

Your numbers must be wrong. This can't be. Global warming is happening now and the end is near. We have hundreds of college professors doing hundreds of government funded studies that show global warming (er climate change) is happening and it's all the fault of us loathsome humans. We need to spend billions on cap and trade to make this man-made problem go away so that Al Gore's investments in "green" technology can make him as wealthy as if he really did invent the internet.

So what if we did all those studies in the 70's that forewarned us about global cooling and the imminent freezing of mankind. This time, our scientists are much smarter. Otherwise, why would so much funding be available for global warming studies?

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
