Brisk fall...

It was a brisk and breezy day on the lake yesterday. Saw about a half dozen boats out and about. It looks and feels like fall now. You can start to see red in the Belknap and Ossipee mountains.

thanks for Pic
Thanks for posting that... I am here at the lake now..(arrived yesterday) but when I am back in Fl., it is sooooooo great to see.
I'm sure outof towners appreciate it also... just to see & remember the beauty of the area. Thanks |
We went out on the lake this afternoon. Melvin Village to Meredith to Wolfeboro and back. It was a beautiful day. Warm in the sun ,calm waters and very few boats. The foliage is just sarting to peak in Melvin Village and Moultonboro Bay. The rest of the lake should be prime next weekend.

Yesterday, A Weather Condition for Everybody...

The rest of the Ossipee range of mountains are appearing in peak colors but around Wolfeboro leaves are starting to fall. As of Tuesday, there is a narrow streak of bright-orange color, but only on the east side of Bald Knob. :eek2: Is it possible that a trail blazed through there became naturally, but thoroughly, re-seeded with just one species of tree? Quote:
It started calm, cool and sunny, then windy and cloudy, then very windy and sunny, then a change to a lighter wind (and direction), then light rain (and warm sun). :rolleye1: Then a rainbow appeared over the water, whose entire length and height could be seen from our porch! Both ends were less than ¼-mile apart and the colors in the "red-scale" were especially intense—to include magenta. Holy cow! (Digital photo to follow). |
