Waterspout! Near Gov. Island!
 
This was posted online not long ago. I did not take the video or images, but there are multiple sources from ~1hr ago...

Interesting! It's unclear when exactly this event took place or on what day. Maybe Thursday night? Conditions Friday were wet, didn't seem conducive for a tornado or waterspout - but maybe.

As we have a cottage in that area

If my orientation is correct and from the position of the Mount------ that looks to be just off Spindle Point taken from Rocky Ledge !

The second Photo looks to be a little further up the same shoreline .. taken from perhaps Pine Trails

In any event -- GREAT shots

Weather Channel
 
I was sitting at home here in NJ on the phone with mom in Alton Bay and the image of the waterspout came on the Weather Channel. It was nice to see the lake from my living room.

I think I would have guided the kiddies to a safer location before spending time taking video.

Pretty neat to watch.
