I'd prefer to go this route. Oh wait..you need a Pilots License. BUT: You can actually go somewhere with this. The age is irrelevant. The FAA makes sure the maintenance is Done...wether the plane is ever flown or not. :D

This one also comes with wheeled landing gear (probably tailwheel) to swap out when the lake freezes and you need to land on the ice..or an airport. BTW: That Hovercraft actually has "Clipped" wings.
