Small Engine Repair

I'm in search of a small engine repair shop near Gilford for snow blower repair? Anything out there besides the big stores as I like to give my business to small, locally owned shops. Thanks.

Mark Richter small engine repair is located in Moultonboro on Rt. 25 right before you approach the school heading into town (northbound side). I believe I've only dealt with him for chainsaws but seems like a great little local shop to get what you need done. He's been around for a while.

Richter is very very good but also is very expensive at $50/hour plus every fix seems to take 1 1/2 to two hours plus parts. Prices like that seem to go with the Moultonborough neighborhood.

Maybe I'm a wee bit of a cheapie, but after fixing a nice 25-dollar chainsaw, yard sale 'find' the repair cost me another $110......ouch! And yes, it works good now.

For a much cheaper small engine fix head over to Laconia High School, where directly across Union Ave, there's a small engine place loaded with old snowblowers, parts and less expensive repairs.

Mark Rickter is O.K. but.....

A few years back a neighbor of ours (women) brought her snow blower to this shop. It was determined the engine was blown and not worth fixing. Long story short she gave the machine to my father and bought new. He used it on the driveway up there for like 7 or 8 winters before finally doing it in for good...
