Pontoon boat rental

Where is a good place to rent a pontoon boat for 4 days? We have a family reunion coming up at the end of July and we are looking for a good/cheap way to transport people out to an island. Most of the marinas seem to be $275-300. Thanks in advance!

That's pretty much the going rate at all rental marinas. We use to rent pretty regularly and found that Goodhue & Hawkins Navy Yard in Wolfboro always worked with us on multiple day rentals. They also used to be the only place to rent tritoon pontoon boats. This would definitely be a plus for transporting a lot of people, especially if the lake is choppy.

Peter --

Point is, just about everyone has Pontoon Rentals.

It would be better to know what part of the Lake you are visiting.

Just to add to your selection. Channel Marine has several different sized and powered Pontoon boats in its fleet, mostly new or nearly new benningtons (new boats being added this year) 20' to 25'. We will also do discounts on a five day rental. www.channelmarine.com. I know this is a promotion but it is in direct response to a question so I hope it does not offend anyone.

Andrew's Marine Service might be a little less than some of the other marinas - http://www.andrewsmarineservice.com/pontoon.html

Of course they are, did you look at their rental pontoon? It is a 1992!!! I can't imagine spending $250 per day for a 1992 when for not a lot more you can have a brand new boat.

Most marinas have current model years, or at least ones within the last season or two. They usually refresh their fleets every few years.

Pontoon rental

I rented last year from Thurston's in the Weirs ,, 22 footer I think or 24,, but they were the only ones that allowed tubing,, MVM and Meredith don't,, just in case you plan to tube...I paid I think $345 for the day and it was worth it...

As others have said there are many options for boat rentals around the lake.

I've started putting together a list of all the links in one place.

Most places rent bowriders and pontoon boats. Goodhue Hawkins & Channel Marine have the largest boats (26-27ft) on the lake and I think Fay's has the only sailboats.

The bottom line is there are many good options, not just many "good/cheap" options!!
