This highly imaginative and fast-paced adventure is the somewhat true tale of a New England farmer-turned soldier-turned Revolutionary War hero! Join Israel as he leaves the Berkshires to fight for our freedom and return to marry his beloved Betty. This few-month expedition turns into a rollicking 50-year journey, seeing Israel set sail for Europe as his many misadventures turn him into a spy, a sailor, a captive, a pauper, and a patriot!
