We have some ice damage to the end of our breakwater on Welch. Several large stone will have to be lifted out of the lake and reset.
We are looking for recommendations.
The last repair was by Winni Marine construction in 1996 and they did a good job back then. The only other contractor we know of in this business is Watermark. Suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

I would try either Dave Farley at Diversified Marine 528-4151 or Jim Nagle at Lakes Region Marine 455-7101. Both are owner operators, good guys, come with good recommendations and, I found, much more reasonably priced than either Winni Marine or Watermark. When I was getting bids for my breakwater I called those two plus Winni and Watermark. Winni was the worst. I had to call several times before they even returned my call. They finally sent someone out to the site when I wasn't even there then sent me a one line quote that was double both Dave and Jim. I got the impression that they just didn't need or want my business. Watermark was responsive and professional but they came in real high as well.

Slickcraft;
Dave Farley did some work for me last year at the camp and I was very happy with him. His prices were reasonable, he's a good guy and he showed up when he said he would. All in all a very good experience.
FWIW;

Had a perched beach done some years ago by Watermark and was really impressed on how professional they were. Good equipment and able to solve problems.

I would only use Winni Marine - great work product.

In early May we did hire Dave Farley at Diversified Marine. The permit process should be about over and the work stated soon. Thanks for all the suggestions which no doubt were useful to others as well; there was a lot of damage to breakwaters and docks over the winter.
