We had dinner with friends at The Bob House tonight. In the past I have been quite pleased, but not tonight. We asked for rolls and they said they were out. Two people in our party ordered mash potatoes with their meals. When the meals came out the server said that they were out of mashed potatoes so they replaced them with baked potatoes. I think we should have been advised of this before the meals came out. It is not even the busy season yet!

Out of mashed potatos? I believe using a scooped out mashed potato, a little milk, and butter then whisking it a bit would yield a passable substitution. :laugh: Or at the very least add a bit of cheese and create a twice-baked potato. mmm mmm good.
