President Obama said during his Nashua visit......."I know times are tough....so don't go out and buy a boat.....and don't go to Vegas"
Don't mean to get political, but didn't anyone tell him that boating in the lakes region and the seacoast represents a huge industry in this state?
the "spirited" thread that got started on that very subject? :)

Didn't see that when I made my post....very well done and maybe Don will move my belated comments onto the original thread.

I've gained a few more pounds since the FF 2009, I hope Don doesn't mind moving us Samiam. But, there are many stupid remarks made by politicians. The question is, "Do they learn by their stupid remarks?" I don't think so, because they are not listening.

Well before you start trashing anyone you really do have to get the quote correct. What the President said was (http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/remarks-president-town-hall-meeting-nashua-new-hampshire):
"Responsible families don’t do their budgets the way the federal government does. Right? When times are tough, you tighten your belts. You don’t go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don’t blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you’re trying to save for college. You prioritize. You make tough choices. It’s time your government did the same."
A little different than saying the partial quote by SAMIAM
......."I know times are tough....so don't go out and buy a boat.....and don't go to Vegas"
Hmm...If you can't afford something don't buy it...how socialist!
