A boat lift that pumps air into a ramp—using solar power. :look:
Panels can be added for larger boats.

Looks like it would take seasonal lake heights in stride. :)

Interesting concept except with all that area in contact with the water, wouldn't the whole unit flap about all day long on a wavy day. You could get sea sick just watching your boat go up and down all day long with the waves.
You can find standard elevator-aluminum -cable lifts on Vermont craigslist for like $1500 or maybe less, and they last for years and years. At worst, they might need the cable replaced.

Also the bottom of the raft would get all discolored, algaeized, and just all around ugly after only one season

Interesting idea with the inflatable mechanism but I would agree that for most locations at Winni it would be thrashed about. In fact, it looks like it might not make one summer in a very choppy exposure.

Might need a Step Ladder to get in and out of the boat onto the float. That would be a sight to behold. :D NB

So it is interesting reading everyone's response here... the one thing no one mentions here is the damage this type of lift might do to a boat in rough conditions. In a back water protected area I have know doubt this is not a bad idea, and yes you would get scum build up etc. but you going to get that on any lift or device you put in the water. However the hinge points are few in that system, and a boat is going to have to be tied securely to keep it in place... all this means in business for the Gel Coat Repair Man.....

I found something similar on the dock at the property we are purchasing. These are sized for jet skis (rated at 1000 lbs). It looks like they have been installed for at least the past 2 years. I dont know how well they work but I am going to remove them because I want the extra dock space for a boat and not jet skis.
