Anybody know where I can get some pallets in the Meredith area? I need some to stack some firewood. Aubuchon in Meredith reuses theirs, so they're out. Any other ideas?

Craigs list has a section where folks list stuff they want to give away free.

Here is the search for Free Stuff, New Hampshire, Pallets

http://nh.craigslist.org/search/zip?query=Pallets&catAbbreviation=zip&minAsk=min&maxAsk=max

Amazing the amount of free stuff out there!

VUTEk or Inkware across the street

Thanks. Do you know if I need to talk to anyone at Inkware or just drive behind the building and help myself? Thanks again.

Inkware used to put discarded pallets out in the front, by the telephone poles/loading dock area. I would not go in the back, as there is storage areas there and your intentions would be questioned. Looking out my window, there are no pallets at this time. Inkware was moved/outsourced out of state, so it will never be the pallet gold mine it once was.

Vutek still has an operation going on, however you would need to ring the shipping bell and ask. There is constant truck/employee traffic and not lots of area to park/load in.

Feel free to PM me if you want more info.

Keep checking the hardware stores. That's where I've gotten mine over the years. BTW, pallets are perfect for stacking firewood! Garden centers are another good source. Even the stores that reuse them will have some that are not good enough for their use, but plenty good enough for firewood.

Why has FLL not comented on this one:D
We might have to send out a search party
If anyone knew he would

Serious though I would just check with someone who works in Lowe's and see if they can hand you some, or try that commercial park in Laconia off of Rt 106 behind the closed gas station

I see them in the dump all the time. Go to the demo pile or ask the guys working there.

The local building supply places use them to deliver goods onsite to contractors. If you have a good sized building project going on in your locale you can likely shag a few from that site as well.

There's a big stack of them TODAY, just outside the fence at the Gilmanton Landfill on Route 106.
