I just received a call from a neighbor saying he had extra tickets to Sat Nascar races. This would be my first time. I realize the BIG race is Sunday although what is the difference between Sat Races and Sunday races. Probably the big names will race Sun and smaller names on Sat?? Is it worth going on Sat. They say there are 3 races on Sat. 1 race is a 1:00 and another at aprox 3pm. I guess theres a 3rd race at 5 that was to run Fri Pm although got rained out. If you suggest I go, what should I bring?? I do like to drink beer so lets start with that!! I appreciate your helping me out especially on short notice. This forum has always come thru in the past!! Thanks in advance!!

I've always enjoye the Saturday races more than Sunday's. Much less crowded, easier to park, walk around, etc. Plus its general seating, so you can sit wherever you want.

You'll get to see the Cup guys practice, Busch North, Busch Grand National and Featherlites (my favorite). Pretty full day of racing.

In terms of what to bring, $$$ :D

Seriously, binoculars, beer (in cans, not glass bottles), water, food. You may want to rent a scanner too.

Have fun, looks like the weather will hold out.

That was FUN!! Little did I know that the tickets I had were to the Suites. Free booze & food!! Air Conditioned!! What more could I ask for. The races were pretty cool!!
